GoodLuck is a multiple award-winning live electronic band from Cape Town ZA, who have achieved 9 radio #1 charting hits within 4 years. GoodLuck are known for their live show, with their use of drum machines, synthesisers, electronic percussion, saxophone and vocals. Their music is a blend of electronica, pop and subtle influences of jazz. GoodLuck creates a signature sound and they have been taking this sound to audiences across Europe, Africa and the UK over the past 3 years.
The trio of musicians whose collective expertise molds their signature sound, features Juliet Harding on vocals – who has written songs both locally and internationally and known for her recognisable voice. Matthew O’Connell is on saxophone and keys. At the helm is the band’s producer and founder Ben Peters, whose repertoire includes 14 number one hits for various artists in including Mathew Gold, DJ Ganyani and more. GoodLuck have shared the stage with Groove Armada, Bassment Jaxx, The Pet Shop Boys, Bakermat, Paul Oakenfold, Lost Frequencies, Robin Schulz, Goldfish and Nora en Pure. In September 2015 GoodLuck was selected to open for Pharrell Williams, as a part of his world tour in South Africa. GoodLuck has performed at sold-out concerts in Amsterdam, Berlin and London, and on their annual Summer residency, Get Lucky Summer.
In 2013 GoodLuck headed into the Namibian desert to record their second album – CREATURES OF THE NIGHT. And on the back of this unique approach to music production , they were asked to present a master class at the Amsterdam Dance Event discussing how they adapted “spacial” effects and abstract environmental sounds into a commercially successful album.
GoodLuck’s latest Southern African and recent international release, ‘I’ve Been Thinking about You’ has been a radio chart-topper across South Africa with the single being held in the top 5 most ‘SHAZAMMED’ songs for over 2 months, hitting the #1 spot on various radio charts, and the most played song across all radio for the month of June 2016 in South Africa. The band have just signed their first global record deal with Ultra Music Records in the States and Sony B1 Recordings in Germany joining some of the world’s dance music elite alongside Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki, Deadmau5, Benny Benassi, KYGO to name a few. In 2017 GoodLuck signed with FourArtists Artist Agency for Booking in Germany. GoodLuck are managed internationally by Creativesrow / Row Weber.
